Starting in winter semester 2026/2027, B.A. students with manually entered basic module courses ("manuelle Nacherfassung") will no longer be allocated advanced courses in the automated place allocation process. Students need to actively report affected courses and/or modules to have them fixed.
Relevant only for those of you who are currently studying English/American Studies as part of a two-subject Bachelor's degree and have not yet completed all advanced courses (Aufbaukurse)!
There are several prerequisites for attending B.A. advanced courses and these prerequisites are technically checked by eCampus before the allocation of places in advanced courses. Unfortunately, manually entered (“nacherfasste”) courses and modules are not considered in this process. Starting in winter semester 2026/2027, students with manually entered basic module courses will no longer be allocated advanced courses in the automated place allocation process. Manually entered basic courses often occur in connection with students changing universities, but a manually entered basic module can also arise in other ways.
As we cannot technically identify those affected, students must check themselves whether they have manually entered basic courses and/or basic modules on their Transcript of Records. Affected courses/modules need to be reported in a predefined format so they can be fixed. See this PDF document for a detailed description of how to proceed.
